Celebrating Zero Emissions Day

Industry is one of the largest emissions sectors, accountable for more than 40% of global emissions in 2019. The 2015 Paris Climate Agreement, agreed by over 190 countries, limits the global temperature increase to well below 2°C and to continue efforts to limit it to 1.5°C. Therefore, industry and business need to contribute achieving the Paris reduction targets.

„Reduce Energy consumption can be made by several innovations:“

1. Lowering the temperatures of the -80 freezers to -70C (research shows that samples will not be affected)
2. During interval-working in the flow cabinet, return the air circulation on half speed. Speed it up 10 min before start working again.
3. Store all your disposables in one storage room, make 1 person responsible to keep an eye on stocks and save disposables.
4. Turn all the machines and lights off after finishing lab work. Small steps for making a better environment!
